Have you ever wondered why a piece of jewelry, dress or lipstick of the exact same color has such a different effect on you and your friend? Armocromia – seasonal color analysis – is the answer to your question.
Armocromia is defined as the subject that studies the harmony of colors, or rather, the relationship between our natural colors and those we wear. This discipline was born more than eighty years ago among Hollywood costume designers who created for each actress a color palette that would enhance her natural beauty.
Armocromia traces the chromatic characteristics of people’s skin, eyes and hair to four categories which – due to their similarity to the colors of seasonal landscapes – are called: spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Thanks to Armocromia and to our article, you will soon learn how to pair up coral, tourquoise and cameo based on your season colour!
Those with cold/lunar undertones can be summer if they have soft and delicate colors, or winter if they have deep and intense colors. By contrast, those with warm/sunny undertones are spring if they have bright, vibrant colors, or autumn if they have warm, golden colors.
Knowing which colors enhance us and which do not facilitates the daily choice of make-up, clothing and accessories, in order to enhance our uniqueness. It is precisely on the choice of accessories, and in particular of jewelry that we want to dwell. Inspired by Rossella Migliaccio, image consultant and pioneer of the study of Armocromia in Italy, we asked ourselves how to best combine the stones on our site according to the color palette of each season.
FOR SPRING SEASON
Skin: light and medium-light with warm/sunny undertones
Eyes: blue, green, blue or hazel
Hair: red, blonde with auburn or brown highlights
The main characteristics of spring women are their radiance and brightness. In fact, they hold up well to bright and luminous colors. What better stone than turquoise to enhance the natural intensity of this palette? Turquoise, especially in the Sleeping Beauty variety, is one of the few stones that can make the already brilliant springs shine even brighter.

FOR SUMMER SEASON
Skin: fair with cold/moon undertones
Eyes: blue, cerulean, green, or even hazel
Hair: blonde, also ash blonde or light brown
Pastel and soft colors are typical of this palette. And no stone embodies delicacy better than coral in angel skin. In fact, its extremely rare pink hue is able to perfectly enhance the natural dusty colors of summer.

FOR AUTUMN SEASON
Skin: medium-light and dark with warm/sunny undertones
Eyes: green, hazel and brown
Hair: golden blonde, light/dark brown and red.
Autumn women are characterized by golden and amber complexions. Their colors are reminiscent of autumn colors, warm and spicy. The stone friend of autumn is red coral par excellence which, with its infinite nuances ranging from bright-dark red to orange, well emphasizes the chromatic heterogeneity of this palette.
An alternative for the more timid and for those who do not like to attract attention is the shell cameo, whose color echoes the shades of the earth.

FOR WINTER SEASON
Skin: light to dark, with cold/lunar undertones
Eyes: blue, green, blue or hazel and brown
Hair: brown, black
The majority of women with so-called Mediterranean colors fall into this category. These are typically women with dark hair and amber or diaphanous complexion, enhanced by deep colors and dark, intense red. In this case the stone of winter is again the coral, but in its most sanguine shade: the Japanese coral in dark color.

Following these simple tips you can choose the turquoise, coral and cameo jewels that most enhance your uniqueness. What are you waiting for!
